Big Mac in a Bowl

I tried a new recipe the other day.

The Big Mac in a Bowl is an absolute boon. How’s that for alliteration?

There is nothing I end up craving more than Big Macs, or more specifically Big Mac sauce. I’ve heard of this mystical recipe before and couldn’t believe it could match up to the real thing so I had to try it myself.

Take 125g of 5% beef steak mince and fry it up in calorie controlled spray with some onion (3sp). Fill a plate with as much iceberg lettuce as you can handle (0sp). Take 2 tbsp of thousand island dressing (I used Tesco’s 2sp for 2 tbsp), and add a diced onion and a couple of finely diced gherkins (0sp) and throw it on top haphazardly. Optional: Enjoy it with a box of McCain’s Micro Chips (5sp).

It’s been a good food week and with this recipe I think I might be able to avoid those big golden arches. Try it and tell me what you think, I think it’s pretty close to the actual thing (minus 20-or-so Smartpoints, obviously!)
